Am I supposed to Condition my Li-ion Laptop Battery?

My laptop battery is a Lithium Ion Battery and lasts 30 min. max. I kept hearing that condition your battery make it hold more energy, so I decided to do it. I have charges and discharged it like 6 times and there is no clear difference in the battery life. But lately I read that its bad to completely discharge a Lithium Ion battery. I would appreciate any tips and answers. THX

"Completely Discharge" means discharging it much, much more than just to the point where your computer won't turn on.

A Li-ion battery can be damaged by over-discharging, but that's only when each cell is at 2.4 volts or less.

If your battery is only lasting for 30 minutes, I'd say that conditioning isn't going to help much. As they get used, batteries hold less and less of a charge, and this effect cannot be reversed. Next time, you can better care for your batteries by performing regular conditioning cycles. It's a little too late for that now, though.

The Sony Playstation 3 will come with a massive 80GB hard drive, a composite cable and controller. You will need to get an extra controller for multi player games, a component cable and a Bluetooth headset for online voice communication. The Playstation 3 has a large library of games that include some hardcore action, sports and RPG"s. The Blu-ray disc is excellent for some eye-popping movies in HD and for larger games with more content. The Sony Playstation 3 can be your entertainment hub as it supports MP3s, DiVX, Bluetooth, movie downloads and game downloads. Price however remains an issue being the most expensive console on the market. The online game play is not as good, or does not meet the standard set with the Xbox. The good news is that for only about $100 you can upgrade your storage space to a whopping 320GB, making this the ultimate entertainment hub.

Let us not forget about the Nintendo Wii. The Wii comes with a small internal drive, but is expected to come out with a new MotionPlus attachment in early 2009. Along with the console you get a composite cable, a Wii remote, a Wii Nunchuch and Wii sports games. You will need to get a component cable, additional Wii remotes and nunchucks for multi-player games and SD card for downloads. The wii is less expensive than the other consoles. The controllers duplicate the motions of the person holding them, bringing you directly into the action. The wii is fun for non-gamers and gamers alike. Sony Vaio AC adapter VGP- AC19V19 melting or catching on fire?

3 years ago, my brother got a Sony Vaio Notebook/ Laptop Model # PCG-7T1L for Christmas 2006. Today he got on the computer and he smelled something funny. The smell went away, but a few hours later, the cord sparked and smoke started to rise form the charging port. He unplugged it from the back of the computer, and it was hot. It melted some of the adapter cord. It almost stared a fire. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?
Has anyone heard of a recall for this charger?

The ac adapter was overheated. Is the ac adapter genuine or did you purchase a replacement somewhere else? If the ac adapter was the only thing that broke, just buy a replacement ac adapter and you should be fine.
