If you're looking to purchase a computer backpack there's an endless selection to choose from online. You can find computer bags in every size, style and color you can dream of. This is the common sense part of weapon ownership; it should be obvious to most people that carrying a Bowie in a school is inappropriate. The same can be said of a post office or a court house.

Bowie knives will be restricted in some cities by local ordinances. In many cases, these ordinances will be based on blade length. Usually, they permit the carry of any knife 3 inches or shorter in blade length, which is too short to reach the heart on a human being. A Bowie knife will always violate such ordinances, so make sure to be aware if they're on the books in any given city. Oftentimes, all it takes is a simple phone call to find out for sure. Ignorance of the law will not prevent one from being charged for violating it! Many individuals make some mistaken assumptions about carrying laws. Where Bowie knives are concerned, one may be under federal, state, city or private obligations at any time. For example, carrying one's Bowie on one's hip on the street may be fine in a certain town but will become a crime if one enters an establishment that serves alcohol. One may be able to openly carry in their neighborhood but still find themselves afoul of the law if they stray too close to a school zone while armed. The best way to find out what laws apply is to check with one's local and state law enforcement. In any area where weapons are generally prohibited, a Bowie knife should not be carried. Though these knives are tools, there is no denying that they are weapons, as well.

Normally the hard disk that is in-built in the laptop has 80GB to 120GB of space, but even this space is less, then you can go for an external hard disk for which you would also need an adapter to run it separately, when connected with the laptop. These were few things which are connected to the mother board and you cannot see them from outside. One very important thing is the Battery of the laptop. Until and unless you have a charged up battery, your laptop would not run effectively, when you are mobile. For the durable life of the laptop, it is always advised to run your laptop with the Power Cord connected, which ensures that your laptop is also getting charged and your do not have any work hindrance. But you need to make sure that the battery does not get over charged as this might affect its power back-up.

What is the best case for my 13" white macbook?

i'm a student and i just got a white macbook. i need a case i can carry it in with a good amount of padding and protection. i also like something slim enough that i might be able to stuff in my bakpack. also, i don't like black and bland. something with a little style so to say. i saw the brenthaven eclipse sleeve and it sound really good the only drawback is it doesn't have a shoulder strap so i don't end up snapping my fingers off if i dont have another bag to carry it in.

The new Micrsoft Xbox 360 comes with a powerful 60GB hard drive, a composite and component cable, Xbox controller and Xbox headset. For the serious gamer, or muli-player you will need to also get an additional controller, a wireless network adapter, Xbox Live membership for online play and you will need to get 120GB hard drive if you plan to download games and movies from the internet.

The Xbox is by far the best console for online gaming as it does set the standard for what online gaming should be like. It has a diverse library of games available and some very good graphics. The Xbox controller works best with all types of action games, especially games that require shooting skills like Halo 3. The Xbox has some flaws that continue to get in the way of it being the top player. You have the dreaded "Red Ring of Death", so if your system fails and needs service, it could be weeks for the replacement. As awesome as the online gaming experience is, the subscription fee of $60 a year can seem a bit excessive. There is no Wi-Fi network connection or Blu-ray support so therefore the Xbox 360 can not serve as your entertainment hub. The good news is any Xbox subscriber can now watch Netflix streaming movies on there console as long as they are members. That sweetens the $60 fee.

The Sony Playstation 3 will come with a massive 80GB hard drive, a composite cable and controller. You will need to get an extra controller for multi player games, a component cable and a Bluetooth headset for online voice communication. The Playstation 3 has a large library of games that include some hardcore action, sports and RPG"s. The Blu-ray disc is excellent for some eye-popping movies in HD and for larger games with more content. The Sony Playstation 3 can be your entertainment hub as it supports MP3s, DiVX, Bluetooth, movie downloads and game downloads. Price however remains an issue being the most expensive console on the market. The online game play is not as good, or does not meet the standard set with the Xbox. The good news is that for only about $100 you can upgrade your storage space to a whopping 320GB, making this the ultimate entertainment hub.

Let us not forget about the Nintendo Wii. The Wii comes with a small internal drive, but is expected to come out with a new MotionPlus attachment in early 2009. Along with the console you get a composite cable, a Wii remote, a Wii Nunchuch and Wii sports games. You will need to get a component cable, additional Wii remotes and nunchucks for multi-player games and SD card for downloads. The wii is less expensive than the other consoles. The game system is different than any of the others. Nintendo Wii has taken a new approach to the gaming experience and has brought the gamer off the couch, out of the arm chair and into the action. The controllers duplicate the motions of the person holding them, bringing you directly into the action. The wii is fun for non-gamers and gamers alike. This system lacks the graphics of the other systems and does not offer the fancy downloads or movie support. The Nintendo Wii is strictly a gaming system.

Probably one of the more important laptop accessories is the carrying case. You could go cheap on this and just get a simple bag to carry your laptop around in but when you get to where you are going, you take your laptop out, and it won't boot up don't wonder why and don't be surprised. The carrying case is the one laptop accessory that you should never skimp on and at least get something that has the very basic of essential protection and carrying space.

Make sure the corners of your carrying case have some sort of reinforcement as this will be where most of the damage occurs. Make sure there us a way to securely anchor your laptop inside the case as you do not want it banging around inside the case as you move. Make sure it is made of something durable like leather so that it can absorb some of any impact you may give it and also make sure there are enough compartments and pockets to put other things in. You want to try and keep all of your laptop stuff in one case.

Printing And Other Stuff

It may not seem necessary now but think about the function of a laptop. It is to be your computer when you are on the road away from your home base. It would be nice if one of your laptop accessories was a small portable printer. They are not expensive and they can be very useful if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to print something and inevitably you will. Many portable printers come with a battery that can carry a couple of hours worth of a charge so having a printer will mean having a complete system with you wherever you go.

You may also want to consider a cellular internet connection as another potential laptop accessory. Until wifi has become more available you may want to consider getting a cellular internet connection card from one of the major carriers that way you know you will always have access to the internet one way or the other.

Sony Vaio AC adapter VGP- AC19V19 melting or catching on fire?

3 years ago, my brother got a Sony Vaio Notebook/ Laptop Model # PCG-7T1L for Christmas 2006. Today he got on the computer and he smelled something funny. The smell went away, but a few hours later, the cord sparked and smoke started to rise form the charging port. He unplugged it from the back of the computer, and it was hot. It melted some of the adapter cord. It almost stared a fire. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?
Has anyone heard of a recall for this charger?

The ac adapter was overheated. Is the ac adapter genuine or did you purchase a replacement somewhere else? If the ac adapter was the only thing that broke, just buy a replacement ac adapter and you should be fine.
I would highly recommend buying one from TopmicroUSA, though.

I believe their ac adapters have better qualities compare to the cheap ones I bought from ebay that burned up my laptop.
