Dell Latitude CPi D266XT???

i just got a used one and until i figure out what i want to do about wireless internet i wanted to stick with dial up for a little while. however, there is no phone jack on the laptop! can i use dial up with it? is there somekind of adapter that will plug into the USB port with a phone jack on the other end or something? if so, how much is that gonna cost me? please & thanks!

Make your guests enjoy their stay more by decorating your youth hostel with window clings. Opt for Window cling prints instead of creating your own if you don't have any experience in using them. Just make sure you thoroughly clean the surface you will attach them to, peel the prints off the cling sheet, and attach them where you want.

5 Uses for Window Cling Prints

1. Decoration. You see them in shop windows everywhere. So why not use them for your hostel too? Snowflake clings on a window tell you the Christmas season is near. A jack-o-lantern cling means Halloween is coming.

2. Reminder. Put up reminders using window cling prints. Attach a cling on mirrors to remind your guests to turn off the lights when they leave the room. Stick a reminder for them to clean up after themselves to the underside of that glass center table.

3. Announcement. Instead of using the conventional bulletin board to put up your announcements, why not have special announcement boards that use window clings instead? Reuse window cling prints if you will be offering the same promo as last month.

Whether you choose to use prints or create your own, take these ideas and show your guests how they can brighten up their homes with window clings as you did to your youth hostel.

Hello and welcome back to our short series on automotive tools and how to articles for the new weekend warrior auto mechanic. This isn't written for the expert, but for the regular Joe and Jane such as yourself. In the past, we've had some great articles but today we are going to look at the overview on checking your radiator fluid. This may be all you need, but in the event you need more detailed instructions, we will cover them later.

The first task is to determine what type of cooling setup your car uses. Older vehicles will typically use a traditional radiator with cap setup. You will be able to open the radiator cap directly and look down into the body of the radiator. Typically the cap is in the front of the engine bay, just behind the hood release catch. It's is also typically on the left side of the bay if you where looking at the front of the car, or the passenger side if you want to think of it that way. There are some special considerations to take into account when opening your radiator, but for now it's just best to know that you should only open it when the car is cool, and use a rag over the cap to avoid burning yourself with steam just in case it's not as cool as you thought it was.

The second type of system commonly used today is a remote fill setup. This is characterized by a secondary coolant tank on either fender well next to the engine. Typically your engine coolant will be green, pink, orange, or blue in color. It's important to know exactly what type of coolant your car uses in case you need to top it off - not all fluids of one color are the same. You will want to look on the outside of your reserve coolant tank to make sure that the fluid level is between the min and max bar levels.

If the components to a computer on both lines are the same, is it equivalent or is the business machine (Latitude) somehow better?

Having multiple computers at home can be made more convenient if you set up a wireless network. This will allow you to connect to the other computer even without having to be physically in front of that other computer.

You should have the requisites first-your computers, a DSL connection, a wireless router, wireless PCI. If you are using a laptop, it should have wireless PCMCIA card. But in the latest models of laptops, this has already been built-in. As for your desktop, you can direct a LAN cable to the router provided that the router is positioned close to it or make it wireless ready by purchasing the wireless PCI card.

Step 1: You need to connect the wireless router first. Turn off your computers first and concentrate on connecting this. Remove the Ethernet cable from the modem you currently have and plug it at the back of the router. The end part is still connected to your computer but leave it as it is for configuration.

Step 2: In the package containing your router, there is another Ethernet cable. Connect it between the WAN port of the router and the Ethernet port (where the first cable used to be located) of your modem. Switch the modem on to check if it is picking up internet signals. If green or red lights appear, it is already picking up signals.

Step 3: Now you can plug the router to the power source and wait for it to boot. It will undergo diagnostics first so wait for it to process. Afterwards, blinking lights will start to appear. Now you can turn on your desktop computer.

Step 4: The next step is configuring the settings of your router using your computer. The router comes with a manual and small disc. Insert the disc on the CD-rom and follow the start-up guide. Enter the WEP and WPA information needed. You can find this in your manual. Make sure you change the default settings of the router and keep the password. If you want to make your network more hacker-proof, you can also change the SSID name.

Step 5: Switch on the wireless connection of your laptop and enter the password. If it is not wireless ready, you can install the PCI card. This is also the same with your desktop computer. But don't worry, the latest computers are already wireless-ready. After that, you are now ready to make a local area connection and connect all your computers in one network.

i wanna download pics from a MOTOROLA v3i to a dell latitude d520.both have bluetooth options on them.can u give me some CLEAR and PRECISE INSTRUCTIONS on what i need to do?i got no idea.man,i'm such a dunce!

double check your laptop actually has bluetooth a lot of manufacturers actually put wifi and bluetooth logos on, but only install one of the other, usually wifi - but if it has it power on bluetooth on your phone make it discoverable and the same for the computer - let the computer look for the phone and then it will ask on the phone if you want to pair the two of them - once paired - select one of your picture and you should see a send or move option just send bluetooth device and then it will send to the laptop you may have to accept it on the laptop to actually recieve it though

I'm sure everybody at some time has experienced the frustration of sending an important email and wondered if it was actually received, read, forwarded or simply deleted. Sure, there are some rudimentary capabilities within Outlook that may slightly ease your concerns, but what if there were flexible and easy-to-use software applications that could really give you insight into what was occurring with that ever so critical email? What if you could determine not only if your email was received, but you could also receive a notification alerting you at the exact moment it was actually read? Wow, that certainly would make the timing of that follow-up call or email easier to determine!

Believe it or not, there are a number of technology solutions currently on the market that can provide you with this information, as well as offer a whole lot more advanced tracking capabilities and functionality--- all of which are typically transparent and undetectable by the email recipients. For example, some of the applications will not only notify you of the exact data and time your email was opened, but will also provide you with the physical geographic location and IP address of the recipient's computer (Internet scammers beware!), the apparent email address of the recipient (useful if people use free email accounts and then forward the email to their business accounts or vice versa or use email aliases) , any URL's contained in your email that are clicked through (great to monitor the effectiveness of your latest email campaign), the duration that the email was read, and if your email was forwarded or read on a different computer (very useful to track confidential of proprietary information that might be passed onto a competitor).

Some of the more advanced applications can also provide all of the above tracking information on your individual email attachments to include PDF's, Word and Excel documents. So, if you sent a prospect a proposal as a PDF, not only would all of the above be capable, but you could receive this information at the page level! In other words, you would be able to determine the duration and frequency that each page was read. Hmmmm, why was this prospect spending so much time reading the section that contained our pricing?

In addition, some applications even allow for the restriction of certain activities. For example, you can restrict a recipient from printing or forwarded your email. Or, some allow for the sender to specify a time duration in which the email will self-destruct within an elapsed time after it has been read. Poof, now you see it, now you don't!.

Most offer some type of Outlook plug-in that allows the sender to specify the "treatment" level for each email and well as turn-off the tracking features. Since most companies charge on a per email tracked basis (usually fractions of a penny per email), you may want to track only important emails.

Lastly, there are typically a number of ways to receive these notifications. Web portals sites are common, as well as the ability to receive alerts by email, Instant Message or SMS to your cell phone.
