restore dell xps m1210 to factrory seetings?

I have a dell xps m1210 notebook which has a 10G partition named recovery.but I don't know why I press and hold ctrl +f11 while booting it can't restore to original settings.I have tried both by battery and charger.

you dont hold it, you hold ctrl and press f11 repeatedly until the recovery console comes up.

Why are young people reluctant about carrying a tissue in case they need it? Wipe nose on sleeve or fingers?
