Dell Inspiron Laptop Power Cord Problem?
I have a Dell Inspiron 2200. The power cord, even when plugged in, keeps not supplying power to my laptop. It is in the connection from the back of the laptop to the plug. it has to be moved a little bit to the side to correct the problem temporarily, but how can i correct it permanently.
i found that if I move the cord in certain ways (i wrapped it around the adapter as if I were packing up my laptop. ) then it doesnt require to be in one direction to work

This is a very common problem. Either the plug on the laptop or on the power cord is damaged and has become intermittent. This can happen if you tug on the cord or accidentally put stress on the connector.
Hopefully it's on the cord side. Perhaps you can check with friends and relatives and see if they have a Dell with the same power supply. At least you can determine if it's with the laptop or with the cord.
If its not the cord, then you'll have to send the computer in to have the power jack replaced. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can try to do it yourself.
