Powerbook G4 adapter lit but no charge/power-bat works but dead!?
Greetings Techies out there,
My 15" Powerbook G4 is having a power problem, in which the power adapter is lighting up (solid amber light) but will not charge the battery nor power the computer when the battery is removed. The battery was supplying power fine until it died from the inability to be charged.
Problem is likely not the bat & not the charger, please give me all the fixes you suggest I try, before going extreme and opening the sucker up to fiddle with the power board.
Also is there an alternative way to power it? or access the data on it using another Mac? I got some movies on it that I want to watch lol.

Well that little light doesn't mean power is necessarily coming out of that g4 adaptor , it only means power is present at the led , therefore. I suggest you just try a new g4 and don't worry you should easily be able to buy one and if problem isn't fixed simply return it with the days stated by the sales receipt.
