comcast internet connection at home on the Sony VGP-FZ190 CTO series.?

i have comcast internet connection and im wondering if i need to buy another router for my Sony VGP-FZ190 CTO laptop. i already have a router for my PC but im wondering if i need another one for my laptop. do i need to install something into my laptop if i buy a router for comcast? if i dont need another one, do i just hook the wire to the laptop? is there a comcast wireless internet card? if i use comcast for my laptop at home, can i use a verizon wireless card on the plane or else where?

You have router for you pc? Does it have multiple ports? If it does you can just hook up your home pc ANd your laptop to the same router. If your just using the one comcast gave you .. then i suggest you buy another one with multiple ports. Or you can always buy a wireless router with ethernet capabilities. If your laptop has wireless then it will be able to connect to the router and so will your computer with the ethernet.

You dont need to buy anything special from comcast they already gave you everything you need.

Go to best buy and ask them .. they should know everything you need.. if not ask the geeksquad
