What can i do about a discharged laptop battery? and where can i get one for really cheap?

My laptop's battery wont accept a charge anymore and the only way i can use my laptop is with the AC charger. My laptop was bought in April 06 and its a Compaq Presario V5115US. Where can i get a new battery for it but at a good price? Is there a local store that might sell them for a good price other than the internet stores because I need this battery soon. Thanks in advance
