Can you upgrade a laptops graphics card? My laptop is brand new. A packard bell EasyNote TJ64?

Been having some issues with slow gta 4 like most people but would like to solve by getting a wicked graphics card.

to elaborate on spartacus' answer, you cannot upgrade the gpu or cpu on 99% of laptops. It is just impossible by design let alone compatibility.

My dog just ate a half a bag of chocholate covered raisons!is he goign to be ok?is there a chance he'll die?

hes medium sized, and is a bichon frise. im scared he might die. i dotn want to go to the vet because that costs..alot. so just in case nothing is wrong i dont think i should go with him yet. his breath smells soo chocholaly. any help is greatly immensally appreciated! thank you. the chocholate covered raisons are milk. and its price chopper brand( just in case )

Why do we all love the science fair food projects so much? I think it is because they are so spectacular and we can see the results very clearly. What I think is important, is looking at it another way. The one about the bread mold can be looked at from two sides. One way of looking at it is the growth of the mold itself, meaning growth. The other side is looking at it from the decay side, mold as part of decay.

I think the bread mold one as the mold growing is the most well known one, but now I want to look at it from the decay side and see mold as part of the decay process. What is the role of mold in the process of decay and how can decay be stopped or slowed down.

So, first what is decay? What is the role of decay in nature? What are the conditions necessary for decay? How can decay be slowed down?

For good science fair food projects we always have to start with a hypothesis, which is saying what we want to prove and what we think the outcome will be. It is not important if your hypothesis is proven right or wrong, as long as you follow the proper scientific method and keep record of everything you do. This is the reason why you have to make meticulous notes of all your steps and preferably also take photos of every step as well as the end result.

The laptop will use laptop ram as a hub for information to and from the CPU and also as a way to help speed up the accessing of information from the hard drive since the hard drive is significantly slower than the laptop ram. The laptop ram will hold very basic but oft repeated functions in it so that the laptop doesn't need to keep going back to the CPU to get instructions and it can run from the laptop ram itself.

With that in mind it then makes sense that if you have more laptop ram then you have a faster laptop computer and expanding the laptop ram is probably the one thing you can do that will have an immediate impact on the speed of your laptop.

Your laptop user's manual is critical in this entire process so before you do anything with the laptop ram you need to go get your user's manual for your laptop. Once you have that the very first thing you need to do is read in the manual on how to access the expansion slots for the laptop ram. The expansion slots are where the ram is installed and they are easy to find and look at.

The user's manual will tell you exactly where the expansion slots are and how to get to them. You may have to open your laptop to do this and if you do, and your laptop is still under warranty, then you may want to stop right here. Opening your laptop while it is still under warranty will void the warranty so if you are still under warranty then contact the service provider closest to you for memory upgrading options.

The Room And The Right Stuff

If you are able to get in to your laptop then get in to it and see what the expansion slots look like. If you follow the instructions in your manual you will not hurt the laptop. Do not touch anything and always make sure you keep metal away from the inside of a laptop and always ground yourself by touching metal before you open your laptop. Static electricity will burn out the insides of your laptop. Once you have identified the expansion slots take a look to see if any are empty. If you have empty slots then you can upgrade, if you have no empty slots then you may not be able to upgrade.

Check your manual to see what the maximum memory capacity is for your laptop. It could be that the memory that is in there now is not the maximum amount and you can replace that memory with higher capacity memory. Always make sure you get only memory that is compatible with your laptop and, once again, you can find all of that information in your user's manual.

Would you believe that briefcases for men, a ubiquitous symbol of fashionable and traditional business everywhere, were originally derived from used carpets? Shocking though it may seem, even the beautiful Italian-designed briefcases of today are merely the offspring of much less sophisticated things. To learn more about the luggage of today came to be what it is, you must first travel back in time to the fourteenth century.

Before the fourteenth century, the best thing people had come up with to carry their belongings around was a sack. By the 1400s, however, people figured out how to redesign loose sacks and bags into still soft but somewhat stiffer leather satchels, and then added loops to them. With these loops, the satchels could be easily carried on the shoulder with minimal strain. But of course, there was still something missing. Can you guess what crucial element was missing from the satchel that differentiates it from a briefcase?

That's right, the metal frame! In the eighteenth century, carpetbags had taken over from satchels. Carpetbags were named for being literally made of old carpet, and were rugged and durable. Some of them could even double as blankets when unfolded. At this time, a Parisian had the idea to attach a hinged metal frame to his carpetbag, thus reinforcing the already hard structure and enabling the carpetbag to carry more weight with less strain to the user. This was essentially the start of the briefcase as we know it.

The framed carpetbags went through many evolutions and redesigns quite rapidly through the years, and some of these designs, such as the oval-top bag, are still being produced in limited quantities. ultimately, however, they came to settle on what we would consider the standard design for briefcases. While the exact date of the modern briefcase's finalized form is vague, popular opinion has it that it was invented by one Jeremy Stenning in the middle of the eighteenth century.

Maybe now you're wondering where the item got its name from. We certainly don't make them out of carpet anymore, but why don't we call them leatherbags or leathercases or something like that? Well, the 'brief' portion of the name owes itself to lawyers. While the briefcase was always very popular with businessmen of all sorts for carrying a variety of papers, lawyers in particular had drastic need for such an item. Since they carried very legally sensitive documents back and forth between the court and their offices, they needed the easiest, most convenient possible package for carrying and protecting these papers. At the time, these documents wre called briefs, and so the leather carrying case acquired its current name. And so we have acquired the modern briefcase! Perhaps the next time you open yours up to put away your laptop, you'll have greater appreciation for the centuries of refinement that went into this neat little item.

i have a thinkpad 600e and fitted a dvd rom but it will not allow me to change region code from 1 to 2 help?

i can not get the dvd player that ibm used to supply as is it no longer available. It recognises cds but not dvdsand it will not allow me to change the region . can any one help ?

Try there altho once you have changed the firmware on a cd drive of any description you cannot change it back. But hey it will change the region code

My computer doesn't understand when stuff is plugged into its USB ports... what's up with that?

I have a really old IBM laptop (it's a 'Thinkpad' if that helps) & for some reason it randomly has stopped understanding when various items are plugged into its USB ports. I have a Canon DSLR & it used to work fine when I plugged it in, but now when it IS plugged in (& all the cords are secure & not loose) the computer says that I need to plug in the camera for it to work. This transition happened randomly. It also applies to a new external hard drive & card reader. I'll try to install the driver to the card reader & the computer will tell me that in order for installation to continue I need to plug in the card reader, even though it's already plugged in.
