Just buying a laptop is not enough as most laptops don't come with some of the essential things you will need like printers and carrying cases that actually protect your laptop. So after you get your laptop it is time to get some laptop accessories and there will be some laptop accessories that you will absolutely need and some laptop accessories that will be nice to have but not completely necessary. Ultimately it is up to you which laptop accessories you do finally wind up getting but you should consider everything because you never know when you will need something and you also want to get everything you can to protect your investment as well.
Probably one of the more important laptop accessories is the carrying case. You could go cheap on this and just get a simple bag to carry your laptop around in but when you get to where you are going, you take your laptop out, and it won't boot up don't wonder why and don't be surprised. The carrying case is the one laptop accessory that you should never skimp on and at least get something that has the very basic of essential protection and carrying space.
Make sure the corners of your carrying case have some sort of reinforcement as this will be where most of the damage occurs. Make sure there us a way to securely anchor your laptop inside the case as you do not want it banging around inside the case as you move. Make sure it is made of something durable like leather so that it can absorb some of any impact you may give it and also make sure there are enough compartments and pockets to put other things in. You want to try and keep all of your laptop stuff in one case.
Printing And Other Stuff
It may not seem necessary now but think about the function of a laptop. It is to be your computer when you are on the road away from your home base. It would be nice if one of your laptop accessories was a small portable printer. They are not expensive and they can be very useful if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to print something and inevitably you will. Many portable printers come with a battery that can carry a couple of hours worth of a charge so having a printer will mean having a complete system with you wherever you go.
You may also want to consider a cellular internet connection as another potential laptop accessory. Until wifi has become more available you may want to consider getting a cellular internet connection card from one of the major carriers that way you know you will always have access to the internet one way or the other.
