Battery Fujitsu Lifebook

Anyone know an ultraportable laptop that allows a refresh rate of more than 60Hz (pref 75?)?

I'm trying to buy an ultra portable laptop of 12" screen or less, with a battery life of 5/6 hours or more. The problem is that I get migraines on refresh rates of 60Hz or less, and had to send my Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook P7120 back to the shop because it was set as the only option. Are there other options that allow a change to 75Hz? The best thing I've found for battery life and portability is an old Psion Series 7, but unfortunately I need to be able to synchronise Word files with my desktop using the Windows "briefcase" option, so no good for everyday use... Any ideas?

Have you looked into the MacBook Air, its by far one of the best ultraporables out there, if a laptop does it, the air does

A memory card used in a cell phone works in the same way as they are used in digital cameras. These digital devices follow a read-write process to save data onto the memory card. Pulling out the card while the phone is on, or the phone switching off suddenly due to an empty battery, while the read write process is ongoing, interrupts this process, and leads to card corruption. This further results in inaccessibility of data stored on the card. This data can be recouped using a Card Recovery Software, in case of unavailability of adequate backup.

For example, when you use a memory card in a cell phone and the cell phone displays a 'low battery' sign, the tendency is to persist in using the mobile phone to take pictures and videos until the battery dies out completely. After this, when one tries to view or even save any more pictures to the card, he/she is unable to do so. Moreover, one gets an error message while attempting to access the data:

'Memory card is corrupted'

After the error message, it is clear that the card in not usable—neither to view nor add pictures.

The cause for the above error message is that the read-write process of the card was interrupted unanticipatedly. This leads to card corruption. Once a card is corrupted, the phone and the computer cannot read the data, which is why the files can not be viewed.

The only way to resolve the problem is to format the card. Formatting a card sets up a new file system that enables the card to interact with the cell phone. This is why the formatting should preferably be done in the phone itself rather than on the computer system. However, once the card is formatted, all the data on it gets deleted. These formatted multimedia files can easily be recovered using a Card Recovery Software. To perform Card Recovery, one only needs to download the utility tool from the Internet, connect the card to the computer (ideally using a card reader), and run the software.

Dell Laptop Power Cord?

My friend gave me his laptop to fix some problems on it but the battery is dead. I need to buy the power cord/cable but don't know which one. Can I find the model # on the laptop or should I just take it into Radio Shack or Bestbuy to find the cord?

Listen to me. I am a Dell Expert.

Flip the laptop over. On the bottom, somewhere, it should have a model name and/or number. If you can not find it, look for something called the "Service Tag" number.

Goto this web site and put it in. http://support.dell.com If you want, create an account, but I would just go to drivers and download and put in the service tag.

In there, poke around a bit. You will find EVERYTHING about that laptop.

Batteries you can find EVERYWHERE! Power cords are a bit different. You will not find them everywhere. Best place is Dell directly, but a bit expensive. You might find a good deal on ebay.

Here is the catch, Dell has had A LOT of battery and power adaptor recalls because of fire. I have seen A LOT of them out on ebay and they don't even know it.

Email me with your model, service tag, and a brief description of what the cord looks like. I got a BUNCH of them that I no longer use. Maybe I can just send you one. They are from older C600 and C610.

You probably do not know this but cables are everywhere. And if you do not see them in the streets it is simply because they have been put underground.
