Series Laptop Battery
Help with Laptop Battery..?
Hi guys,
I've just bought a new Sony Vaio Z series Laptop and was wondering if it was ok to remove the battery while using the laptop and simply connect it to the mains. That way I don't have to keep charging the battery and could use a the fresh one when on the move.
Would the power supply be to strong for the laptop thus damaging it, or would the voltage automatically be stepped-down when connecting the laptop to the mains?
Which would be a more advisable option: keeping the battery in the laptop at all times, or connecting it straight to the mains without the battery.

Keep the battery in the LT at all times... It is cycling that will wear down the battery. I think I have heard that modern Li batteries will do 500 cycles before death.
